LL Football 4(ish)!

I'll give brett a break on this one.

I have a good idea, so i'll have you guys vote on it.
I think we should play football on saturday the 22nd. However, etown brought up the idea that we could also play on christmas eve.

who likes the idea of 2 games, one on saturday, and then one on monday?

Please only vote if your going to play.

we'll play at cal anderson or green lake, and please suggest ideas of other things we could do before or after these games.

I'll take a roll call for each day in a few days after we find out what will work.

Green Lake Playfield's condition is crap now that soccer season is over (the kids really tore it up).

Anyways, the 22nd will be the last game I'll be able to make it to for this year. See you all on Saturday.

Bad news re: potential reservation

I called the reservation line, and according to the recording, they stopped accepting reservations August 3rd and will not entertain reservations until mid-February. This tells me the schedule is set in stone, which is neat and all but presents the same problems as usual. I've sent another e-mail out to the field manager asking about a schedule, but whether or not the field is booked, we're at the mercy of whoever shows up to use it. I don't know about you guys, but I don't like my chances in a territorial fistfight.

So, uh... john, what was the name of that nearby field you mentioned again?

How would they be able to kick us off

if it's unbooked and we're there first? Not to mention that anytime the field's not in full use theres usually a few other smallish groups roaming around.

Well

I'm not sure that's a huge concern on second thought. My main concern is that the field's still booked for soccer matches.

We were fortunate the Thanksgiving weekend that the field was mostly free, but I'm not sure soccer season's over yet. I followed up with the field director via e-mail and I'm still awaiting word on how the field's scheduled this weekend and next.

Worst case scenario, we could reprise our use of the side field, or we could head down the street to the school john mentioned.
