Apparently I wasn't the only disaffected Mariner fan who threw him a vote for making his best ever single managerial decision: quitting.

That demonstrably saved the team a loss. That was the best on-field managing I've ever seen.
I think the meltdown
was inevitable. The handling of it was what was so poor.
