Jon Papelbon, Hideki Okajima, David Ortiz, and Manny Ramirez. These are the Red Sox I can deal with. Should Boston go on to win the Series, I will be happy for these four players and the two or three Sox fans I know who aren't insufferably arrogant sons of bitches. Everyone else can take a dirt nap for all I care.

Until Rockies fans admit their team

Is completely outclassed, and that they have absolutely no right whatsoever to expect a victory, I'm rooting for the Red Sox to obliterate them for a couple of games.

Once the Rockies realise that they're the underdogs and celebrate that glorious fact, then they can go about winning the series in an amusing and lucky manner.

Rockies fans droning on about how their team can compare to Boston's is really irksome. Take your roles as the David of this WS and stop bleating on about how nobody gives your team any respect, silly people.

Walt Jocketty was there in 06, he is a good GM. They had Chris Carpenter healthy in 06 and didn't have Joel or Maroth in 06. There are some reason.

not on broadcast TV here. I'm sure they'll basically show whatever game Matsuzaka starts and ignore the rest of it except for an interview with Matsui Kazuo every day on the sports highlight show later.

Also I want Okajima back. We have NO lefties in our bullpen this year with the Fighters. Damn good thing Fukudome isn't able to play in this year's Series, that's all I've got to say. (Chunichi is very light on lefty hitters. Dragonbutt can't do THAT much damage on his own. I hope I don't end up eating those words.)

But, hey, looks like 1-0 Rockies right now, so... go Rockies!

Yesterday I taught a class how to say "I hope that the ___ will win the Series. I think ___ is a great player." I thought they were all going to fill it in with "Red Sox / Matsuzaka" but most of them actually said "Rockies / Matsui Kazuo". Woohoo!

Sure, I can understand not liking Drew, Schilling and Lugo. And, yeah, their fans can be just as annoying as Yankees fans.

But, aside from the guys you mentioned, what's not to like about Pedroia, Youkilis, Wakefield, Lowell, Varitek, Beckett and Matsuzaka?
