What movie is that from?
30 Days Of Night
by Jeff Sullivan on Oct 21, 2007 9:12 PM PDT up reply actions
I went straight to youtube
BTW- You able to get behind the Rockies yet?
That scene really freaks me out for some reason.
On the brightside
Omar and the earring
Paul Byrd and his "perfect game"
The fact that their city's weather effed up our schedule, preventing the Mariners from taking needed off days late in the season
The 1995 ALCS
A bunch of movies about their team starring Charlie Sheen and President Palmer
I hate Boston as much as anyone, and I know that they have a model organization, but I can still feel at least a little bit glad that Cleveland lost.
I've always wondered
I've been hating them all year
My entire sports life...
Life isn't fair.

Honestly...
That said, go Rockies. There's something very appealing about having 8 different winners in 8 years from 2000 to 2007. If basically 1/4 of the teams in baseball can win a championship since the last time the NYY won, it makes the Mariners' chances seem better than ever.

What's the SBN record for
No idea.

I suspect Scrappy will be apropos soon.
Can't wait to see the 2B job come down to a competition between Willie and Mark Loretta.

I have to draw the line somewhere.
Two items:
- That 30 Days of Night movie reminds me of The Thing. If it turns out to be even a quarter as good, I will be a happy boy.
- Just noticed Jeff switched the site's logo to the one from SBN's Rockies blog. Is this the first non-M's logo switch? Either way, I love it.

You wouldn't believe the Matsuzakamania here
Of course, I didn't get up early enough to bother with the MLB game today. I think it was already over by the time I got to Jingu to take in some Tokyo Big Six college baseball games, where I saw some of the smartest and suckiest baseball players I've ever seen in my entire life. Woohoo Todai.
I found some sports bars today too, but none of them are open early enough to watch MLB games. Funny how that works.
At the least...

I think I hate the media coverage
I hate the Red Sox way more than the Yanks
At least the Sox players...
hate the media, hate the fans, sure - but Boston's got a good team that's pretty fun to watch.
Agreed.
Anyone who hates David Ortiz should be banned from being a baseball fan...

I agree. The Yankees are worse, because
You'd never see a Yankee doing something like that. What was the last crazy/funny thing a Yankee did, ride a horse around the warning track? Woop-dee-freakin'-doo...
there's not really any team that I hate
I want fans of Boston to suffer; I'm ambivalent to the actual Red Sox players.
I don't hate the Red Sox at all
Plus, I can't fathom Boston losing, so I wouldn't mind being surprised.
that's ok,

And there is no way in hell
By the way...
What's just as funny is how all we keep hearing from the rest of the country is "ohh, what a bunch of arrogant annoying bandwagoners the Sox fans are"... when of COURSE there are a bunch of arrogant annoying bandwagoners; it's a winning team. It's what happens.
What people fail to realize is how bad the bandwagoning and arrogance was getting in Cleveland by the time Game 5 rolled around. I'm not making it up; anyone in the greater Ohio region will agree with me, I'm sure.
Yeah
Boston fans are insane, though. Ohio sports fans are just overly passionate.
how would you know?

What does OSU have to do with the Indians?
by Jeff Sullivan on Oct 23, 2007 4:00 PM PDT up reply actions
Both in Ohio?
OHU fans are psycho
All Midwest fans are psycho.
Count me in on hating the media coverage
And annoying Sox fans/bandwagon fans (and some annoying players even) aside it's a seriously well built team. One of the best teams if not the best team in baseball made it to the World Series.
I have mixed feelings overall. I want the Rockies to beat the Red Sox, but the Red Sox were the team to beat since Game 1 of the regular season.
no, they were the team to beat
No, it was all about beating the Devil Rays
Really?
yanks had best record in baseball
