JJ Putz Autographed Magic Card

As promised, Here you go.

The Caravan was pretty boring, a lot of stupid questions from little kids. Rick Rizzs was a douchebag. But I like the guy. He gave me the highest compliment an aspiring radio voice could ever get:

Conversation went like this:

RR: How are you? (looking down signing my ball)
DC: Fine, how bout you?
RR: Good
*looks up*
RR: You have a great radio voice. You should get on the radio and make some money
Followed by more boring talk about radio

So?
Did Putzenbömber say anything about the card, or did he just sign it?
Iceberg, right ahead!

I laughed as I walked up and said
You should totally sign this and he said "OK" and signed it. And then gave it to me without comment. He was the only guy who didn't talk (everybody else got to sign a baseball)

I'm just getting a kick out of the fact that he is
now aware of it's existence.

Almost makes me kinda wish Hargrove was their so you could of had him sign his as well.

Once the season starts, I'll certainly be making more to accomodate the newcomers.

This is why I say Putz is dumb
Last year at both Fan Fest and the IKEA Caravan I was impressed by how completely boring he seemed to be.

Caravan had Moyer, Putz, and Sherrill, and I mean, you know Jamie Moyer's a funny guy and chats with people and cracks jokes and is super-friendly and all, and I ended up talking to George Sherrill a bit too (mostly the "uhh... so do you really have a brother who reads the blogs?" question), but Putz, man, he just looked really out of it, like he couldn't figure out why all of these people wanted him to write something on their stuff.

And then at Fan Fest, they put Putz on stage with Rizzs and Washburn, and man, J-Rod was really on fire with the jokes, but Putz answered everything totally straightforward, as if he couldn't think of a funny answer for anything.  And y'know, Rizzs and Washburn give PLENTY of fodder for wisecracks.  I think the only funny thing he said was when someone asked "Do you think a 6-man bullpen is better than a 7-man bullpen?" and he replied, "I don't care how many people there are, as long as I'm in it!"

My guess is Putz didn't even notice the card he signed for you.  Honest.  He seems like a really nice guy, but just plain dumb.  There's nothing really wrong with that, I suppose, except for the last name jokes.

Amen
and Amen.  You are lucky to get that much out of him.  At least the Buckeyes beat them.

The Michigan game
meant way more to me than the National Championship Game.

Now that I think about it, RoboPutz does sound like a catchy name.
