LaRoche for Gonzalez
So I guess this trade finally went through. Weird how it took forever, wasn't this supposed to go through a month ago? Soriano is probably equal to Gonzalez, so that means we could have gotten LaRoche. Oh well.

At least its been so long that I'm not mad about it anymore.

So....
Sexson for Soriano?
Scott Thorman
If Bavasi had been creative, we could have made deals with either/or ATL and PIT.
Ugh.
There's also...
I assume the move would be for Saltamacchia.

I assume the move would be
(and yeah, I had McCann and Mauer on my fantasy team. I had LaRoche too for a while, come to think of it. My excellent talent evaluation strategies worked out pretty well.)
So, Deanna...

Just an aside,
Soriano and Gonzalez? WOW.
Not just Gonzalez
Lillibridge is a significant trade chip. The Braves are getting a lot more than Gonzalez.
Ex-Husky!
But then, Jamie Romak, a 21-yo power hitter out of Canada, is moderately intriguing too. To be clear, I think the Braves are getting the better 'spect, to balance the fact that they gave up a slightly better MLB player, but Romak is moderately intriguing - kind of a Scott Thorman mixed with Rob Deer thing going on.
He was a bit old for the SAL, but but up some impressive ISO-patience and power numbers. Struck out a TON - seriously, this guy makes Wlad Balentien look like Ichiro - but walked a ton too.
yes, except
Pretty much any time I started to like a Pirates player, they got traded. It was retarded.
