Big trouble in the Twin Cities
Kiss them goodbye from the Wildcard hunt if Liriano goes down... which it appears he will.  At best, they need to shut him down for a few weeks.  By all accounts, it's just increasing soreness as doctor visits have revealed no structural damage, per the article.

Post deadline too.  That was kinda weird to me.  Maybe they exposed him to waivers, Arizona claimed him and before DC pulled him back the DBacks said, "No!  We'll send you prospects!"  And given that the Nats probably aren't going anywhere for the foreseeable future and Livan wasn't much more than a workhorse, they bit.

If we judge him by his contract then no, he will never be that good.

If you just look at him as a player I think he will be very good, infact hes probably putting up real good numbers compared to other AL 3rd baseman.

The leg slap is because
that's the "donut release trigger." Eddie slaps his leg, and a powdered donut drops down his pants leg. Then he bends over to pick up the rosin bag and scarfs it down. And you all thought that white cloud was resin.... Ha, pure sugar!
