Are we in that bad of shape if we win today?
Not to mention we are playing a three game series against Tampa Bay, which is a great oppurtunity to gain some ground with Texas playing Oakland. Then we go into a crucial stretch with four against TEX, 3 against OAK, then four against LAA.
So if we stick it out and win today, we still have a great shot at this thing.
Big If...
Totally agree
Also if we are going to win 1 games of this series-game 3 is the one to win. Maybe it would give the team some confidence.
Let's hope Meche

Blanton's OBP against
Against Seattle: .192
Man, that's embarassing.
Does anywhere provide splits of vs. fat pitchers/vs. non-fat pitchers? From memory, Colon always seems to do well against us so maybe girth is a factor.

Why is Sexson going there?
and how did ibanez score on a single?
The question should have been why was Sexson
by theblackpearl on Aug 6, 2006 1:25 PM PDT up reply actions
sexson is a long distance runner
he loses to much speed

Do we lead the league
At the very least, we lead the league in LOB per base hit.
Well I'm not surprised we're losing
How the hell did that happen?
Richie and Raul singled
Check out the Game Notes at the bottom:
Yahoo! really likes Ben Zobrist.
Also, you can just hand the ALE title to the Yankees right now.
whats even more funny
I HATE Red Sox Nation
Im so glad the D-rays tuck it to them today.
I hate the Yankees just a little bit more

No, I've watched all of them.
...but, yeah, I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't fairly confident of the outcome.
I will say this: of all the divisional rivals, the Mariners are easily the least hateable team.
Well, yeah.
by Jeff Sullivan on Aug 6, 2006 2:30 PM PDT up reply actions
So, I wonder
Would they lose if you put the same roster on the Royals? Conversely, would they lose if you put the Royals roster on Oakland?
Its all Marco Scutaro

Im starting to think...
Just like the Rams/Sehawks in 05..Seattle was the better team, but the Rams owned us.
Not saying we are better than Oakland, but the point is the same.
We're at least even.
I sure do love me some unbalanced schedules.

mindset = = important
The players
did Thomas score from second...
has Ichiro just given up??
I hope the team just quits and doesnt give the A's that satisfaction of the W.
What was up with that building to the future note?
Did I read that wrong?
Here's what they forgot to mention:
What a pitcher!

Morrow or Tillman?
As of a couple days ago, Jeff Harris is not one of them. Het pitched last night for Tacoma. Came in after B-Liv gave up back-to-back HRs in the 7th. Jeff got 2 backwards Ks sandwiched around a weak grounder to 2B.
It was Chick actually, which is why I was confused
