2006 Futures Game

The US team won the 2006 Futures Game featuring top prospects from across the minors 8-5.
Not as many M's prospects this year, though Wlad Balentien did put on a good show:  the free swingin' OF from Curacao went 2-3 with 2 2Bs, a run scored and two RBIs.   He did NOT strike out.

George Kottaras (C, SD)  went 2-2 with a 2B and a HR for the world team, while Billy Butler (OF, KC) took home the MVP award with a HR, 2B and 2 RBI.  Alex Gordon also went 2-3 with 2 RBI, so it was a hopeful day for long-suffering royals fans.
