Meche to the Mets?
There are some folks in the Mets blogosphere talking about how they'd like to see the Amazins make a trade for old Gil. I think the most likely scenario is that the Mets stand pat and don't make any trades at all - but if they do anything, they're looking for one more arm in the middle of the rotation. A short-term rental, maybe.
If Meche figures in a trade to Queens, who would you all want to see involved? Obviously Milledge and Pelfrey are out of the question, but who else might be possible? What is Meche's trade value like these days anyway?

Not really.
Anyone I'd want from the Mets, they're not trading...

Maybe if the Mets hadn't been so eager to trade
Then we'd be on our way to building a Hernandez-Hernandez rotation duo.

Meche to the Mets for.....
The M's would eat most of Guardado's salary to make the money a little more palatable.
Alay Soler would be a nice option too.

AHern is an infielder
Maybe you mean Fernando Martinez? He looks like an absolute stud, though he's probably about three years away from the majors.
Humber looks like a good one, too - I don't know if the Mets are in the mood to deal top prospects these days, after the Kazmir debacle. Of course, that pretty sharply limits their trade options.
I could see something involving Soler, if the Mets were thinking about getting Bannister or Pelfrey into the starting rotation.
As for Guardado, I'm not sure there's anything that can make him palatable.

He's playing now
Diaz has only hit .252/.300/.379 on the season in AAA, but his big league numbers are much better than that, and in June he's gone .306/.315/.500. I really think he could figure in a Mets trade, possibly packaged with a pitcher like Bannister.

Huh?
Because they didn't just basically trade away their top 10 this past offseason to get Delgado and Lo Crappa?
"I could see something involving Soler"
Soler is mediocre. I'd trade Pineiro for him or Eddie. That's is.

Your right
I like the idea of getting a player like that before he emerges as an elite prospect. The guy is hitting .321/.384/.473 in Low A, at AGE 17! Plus, he is a lefty corner outfielder with a polished approach, good tools and plus power potential.
I'll take that.
