A few snippets from the Yahoo! game preview:
The Oakland Athletics look for their eighth straight win over the Seattle Mariners when they continue their three-game series at McAfee Coliseum on Wednesday.
...
A's starters are 7-0 with a 0.72 ERA over the last seven games against the Mariners, allowing no runs on three occasions.
...
The Mariners have dropped 17 of their last 23 games at Oakland and realize they have to change that if they are to get back into contention.
...
Pineiro is 1-4 with a 7.09 ERA over his last six outings. He turned in another poor start when he gave up seven runs and nine hits over 5 1-3 innings in a 7-3 loss to Minnesota on Thursday.
The right-hander is 0-2 with an 8.04 ERA over his last three road starts.
Uh ohs.
LET'S GO MARINERS!

Good Call...
Why can't it just go on forever???
by WAB on Jun 14, 2006 10:58 PM PDT up reply actions
You know
So I should bet on tonight being something like an 8-2 Mariners win, just to be different.
Bizarro world
This is what it's like...
I will rejoice in a win, but I don't expect to come within 6 runs of that happening.
Hendu gem #1
Fun inning:
T Hall flied out to center.
T Lee struck out swinging, T Lee safe at first on passed ball by I Rodriguez.
J Lugo walked, T Lee to second.
C Crawford struck out swinging.
R Baldelli struck out swinging, R Baldelli safe at first on wild pitch by J Zumaya, T Lee to third, J Lugo to second.
J Cantu flied out to left.
The machine rolls on
Ichiro rested from his off nights
Yeah

Longest single ever!
He's sucked SOOO much already throughout

What a PK.
Don't get me wrong, I have no particular rooting interest in the series, but I really prefer to see teams celebrating on their home ice.

Game Six - Hurricanes at Oilers
Jermain Taylor vs Winky Wright

Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad for me.
(Looks like I haven't missed much tonight, as far as the M's go. Game 5 >>>>>>>>>>> Pineiro and this mediocre team
Re:
watching the rain as I drove to work
Woods warming up
Ah there she be
Ozzie Guillen is a giant douche
Sean Tracey relieved Vazquez to start the seventh, and the right-hander got leadoff hitter Blalock out on a grounder. But White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen slammed a water bottle to the ground, changed pitchers and then was seen in the dugout barking at Tracey, who pulled the collar of his jersey over his head.
That would of been kinda funny to see
Too bad
Matt Thornton would've cried wike a wittle girl.

Older Women For Omar!
Exactly what I thought when I heard that
Felix will strike out Barroids 4 times, and on the 4th PA Bonds will dislocate both knees after swinging through a bender.

This August
I'm beginning to wonder if I should just go ahead and cross Oakland off the list.
Please don't mention minor league teams.
by Jeff Sullivan on Jun 14, 2006 8:33 PM PDT up reply actions
I imagine Oakland would be a good place
Re: This August
Then again, Raley Field is home to the A's Triple-A affiliate. So on second thought....
Hypothetically
I mean, initially I'd be surprised, but besides that, I dunno.
Thought that was gone
Wow, a sacrifice fly?
What the hell?
7 runs for Joel
Re:
Hey, Haren's thrown a lot of pitches
1-7
oh....nevermind.
LOL
I can't really blame her.

Go over to the White Sox blog and read their recap
"While I'm handing out 'thumbs down' I have to mention Hawk. He burst a blood vessel in the second when AJ was hit, then went overboard in the 4th. He went so far as to say that if he was still playing, he'd be waiting for Padilla outside the clubhouse after the game. Keep your head, old man. Keep your head."
I'm so bored right now
