Some thoughts on BP 2006

I may be a little late in discussing this, but having recently finished Baseball Prospectus 2006 essentially cover-to-cover I found myself rather disappointed. The copy editing was unacceptably bad, some of the oversights are embarrassing not to mention confusing. Beyond a few noteworthy essays (Rockies, Athletics come to mind) I found the writing mediocre, lacking verve or insight. It's nice they avoided comparing any player to a venereal disease this year, but increasingly the writing has become mere window-dressing for PECOTA.

I've been a BP reader for 3 1/2 years, but did not renew my subscription this year. Am I the only one who thinks "the best in the biz" is slipping?
