Yanks Lose or M's Have 1st Place to Themselves?

The Yanks are playing the A's tonight and if the Yanks win we're going to be occupying first place all by ourselves in the AL West...

But, isn't it morally evil to hope the Yankees win? I am really wrestling with this.

Hope the hated Yanks win thereby giving the M's sole title to first place in the AL West. Especially given we face a series against the A's next...
Hope the hated Yanks lose which is morally correct, but then we have to share first with the A's...

A's just scored two on a single. I don't know though.. say Yanks win tonight and we win tomorrow? I'd love to get out in front.

But, I think you are right, I just don't have the heart to wish for a Yankee win.

The only time I could pull for the Yankees...

is if it was for a playoff spot. This time of year, whenever the Yanks lose, I'm a happy man.

I could only root for the Yankees only if them winning meant the Mariners would make the playoffs.

Jeter makes an error and what do they do? Blame everybody but him.Then do they talk about his bad fielding that cost the Yanks a run? Hell no, they show good plays from the past and go on about how godly he is.

Painful to admit...

I will go for the Yankees (or any team)when they face any competition in the AL West. The rest of the time I will be completely against them. I am foremost intrested in the M's riding first place in the west, even if it means choking on my pride and pulling for the Evil Empire.
