Randy Johnson

The Yankees allegedly want to move Johnson, paving the way for Clemens (who doesn't like him much).

The Yankees desire a first baseman.

Sexson is often rumored to be trade bait.

Is this a match made in heaven?  Johnson is owed a butt load of money on his contract, but given what crappy pitchers (Meche) are getting, his contract looks better.

Yes Johnson is old.  Yes, he has been in decline.  But, he would stir up the fan base with a revival of old memories and he would be a stop gap until the pitching in the minors is ready.

If Bavasi were going to acquire another pitcher, this one would make the ticket buying public who post on the PI Blog spend money...your thoughts?

id go for it
Why not.  Even when hurt, he's better than half of our rotation.

I'd do it in a heartbeat!
I don't care that RJ is a shell of his former self.  He's still one of my all-time favorite pitchers.  He's got an arse's attitude, and probably would be too hurt to pitch, but I'd still do it in a heartbeat.
Iceberg, right ahead!

With Randy Johnson and Jose Guillen
on the team, nobody would fight with us.  Frankly I think the FO is afraid of Johnson and won't even think about it.

That is too bad....
He could help and would be a better example to young pitchers than some washed up has been that bavasi and company are likely to sign.  This team needs some attitude, the white bread and mayonaisse persona sucks.
I killed a 12 pack just to watch it die...

HAHAHAHAHA
A-Rod is the only person less likely the RJ to come back to Seattle.

He's washed up
Let some other team waste their talent in a trade for him.

I dunno about that
205 IP, 7.55 K/9,2.87 K/BB, and a 4.51 xFIP still has some use.

Granted, he's not much better than replacement level anymore, but if the Yankees were willing to eat most of his contract, I may be willing to give up a little something for him.

But that wont happen, so there yeah go.

Aici zace un om despre care nu se ştie prea mult.
