The key line:
Figures include salaries and pro-rated shares of signing bonuses for players on Aug. 31 rosters and disabled lists.
That means that, among a few others, Bret Boone, Ron Villone, Randy Winn, and Scott Spiezio's salaries are not included. That's a lot of money.
Good Point!
Boone, Villone, Winn and Spiezio (err, Player A?) account for 15m easily.
