SEATTLE MARINERS TORONTO BLUE JAYS

Ichiro RF Adams SS
Winn LF Catalanotto LF
Ibanez DH Wells CF
Sexson 1B Hillenbrand 3B
Beltre 3B Hill DH
Morse SS Zaun C
Reed CF Rios RF
Lopez 2B Hinske 1B
Borders C Hudson 2B
---------- ----------
Sele (6-9, 4.77) Lilly (7-9, 5.21)
Two pitchers headed in opposite directions. While Sele has been various shades of ugly over the past few weeks, Lilly has caught fire, allowing nine runs in his last 38 innings (six starts), with nearly a strikeout per frame and having lowered his ERA from 7.41 to 5.21 over that span. He's beginning to look like the strong #2 pitcher many analysts thought he'd be this year, which bodes poorly for Seattle's chances this afternoon. Lilly can still be betrayed by his command and exposed against righties, though, so at least there's a little hope. It'd be nice if Miguel Olivo kept up his current pace against the guy, just for a little added boost. Sele needs to not suck, which might be asking too much.
LET'S GO MARINERS!

For a moment I could of swore Neihuas
thank god we dont have to listen to Calabro any more
Interesting
I know they have had bullpen troubles of late, but that seems like a little bit of an overreaction to the losses to the Yankees and D-Rays of late...
Speaking of....
Have any of you EVER seen a call get reversed like the one in that game?
Who in the hell is the home plate umpire to rule on a play at first?
Lou had every right to go all insane-psycho like.
LOL
The host suggested that when they changed that call they should have just tossed Lou at that point because it was inevitable...
Re: Interesting

Re: Any Mariner trade rumors today?

Rumors are easy to find. Legitimate trade news is hard to find and there are just some quiet murmurs out there today.

Nice
I live in Tucson right now...went to watch Tacoma last week and saw Lorraine implode. Anyway, I was wondering if you knew anything about a guy in the D-Backs organization named Connor Jackson? Dude had huge stats at the few games i've attended and seemed to be a very good hitter. Is he a AAAA guy or legit prospect?

Conor Jackson
Jackson's AAA numbers this year
(And his other numbers are also great.)

This is one of the many examples
Brian- Tucson actually has two of the best prospects in baseball in Jackson and Carlos Quentin. Quentin is actually one of the best prospects in the game and you should be thankful you get to see them both on a regular basis.
Sergio Santos isn't half bad himself.
Mediocre is too harsh
Over react much?
Calm down. If GMs had your patience, teams would be a mess.
People applauding for pat borders
Borders!!
I thought that was gone

I really really really really like Adrian Beltre
Sweet Lou on his ejection after
Chatting with a sense of playfulness Tuesday, Piniella said he threw his hat while he argued, but didn't get to kick it.
"Somebody stole my prop," Piniella said with a chuckle. "You've got to have a little fun."
Piniella expects to be fined by Major League Baseball's disciplinarian, Bob Watson, a former teammate of Piniella's.
"Bob's a good guy," said Piniella, still smiling. "I like Bob. [But] he likes to fine me for whatever reason. Maybe I didn't buy him enough dinners [when they were teammates]."
lol
What did borders tell him to
Ron Fairly can't count.

I think Boone is like
His stat line is
HAHA
So here is my plan
Or better yet, how about placing him in the woods with a tape recorder around his neck and the theme form 'Deliverance' playing. Everyone knows that gay woodsman cannot resist the sound of a banjo.
Screw that...
Heh
We could also have him undergo a freak fall down the stairs type injury.
Press Conference:
Thornton - "Well I was walking down the stairs and I hear these foot steps and I feel a firm pus-"
(scans room and see's Bavasi shaking a fist at him)
Thornton - "and I feel a, a, I just fell. No more questions."

Heh.
Hansen's back on the DL (or still on the DL, depending on which way you look at it), and Snelling's on the bench.
